You may have already seen the good news: Odoo.sh is now also available in version 17.
Therefore, last week we took version 17 into testing and will extensively test in the coming weeks whether all processes still work well.
As Odoo advises, we will check at least the following items:
- Does a Contact, Product, Project still show all fields (also consider Studio fields)?
- Go through the process of quote - order - purchase - receipt - project - hours - invoices - payment (depending on your process) and also check:
- Are there views that are deactivated in the test database but active in our production database?
- Are my/our usual views still displayed correctly?
- Are my/our reports (invoice, sales order, etc.) generated correctly?
- Are our website pages still working correctly (we quickly noticed a few errors)?
- Can you still create and modify new records? (sales orders, invoices, purchases, users, contacts, companies, etc.)
- Are all email templates working correctly?
- Are all translations working correctly?
- Are my/our search filters still present?
- Can you export data?
- Are all connections still working?
- Are the automated or server actions still working (and are they active that need to work)?
- Check your adjustments/scripts etc.
We are going to let several colleagues go through 'their' process in the test database (support test Helpdesk, sales test CRM, administration test Accounting, marketing test Website/Emailing etc).
As soon as all of this has been completed, we will make a joint decision to convert to 17. That day we will intentionally schedule several colleagues in. Once this is done, I will gladly inform you and we will also help you with the transition!
