As promised, here is a look back at Odoo Experience 2025 and the introduction of Odoo version 19.
Odoo Experience 2025 in Brussels was well attended: more than 35,000 participants from around the world, spread over three days, immersed themselves in and through Odoo.
My impression? A bizarre amount of new functionalities in all apps, with the cherry on top: a personal AI agent on your own Odoo database; ask questions in natural language, receive answers even in report form.

A short summary is difficult (so much news), yet I will try:
- Smarter working through and with AI
Odoo 19 has added artificial intelligence everywhere. You can have tasks performed by AI prompts, automatically write or summarize texts, and there are smart suggestions in emails and CRM. This way, you have to do less manual work. - Faster and more user-friendly
The interface has been further refreshed and improved for mobile use. Odoo now even works partially offline and synchronizes automatically later (e.g., the POS app). - Accounting
The Odoo credit card has been introduced, bank reconciliation has been improved for mobile use, and a work program has been added (for VAT checks, annual accounts, etc.). The audit trail has been expanded. - Sales & CRM
Quotes are even more flexible, leads can be automatically created from business cards, and AI helps you with summaries and follow-up proposals. - Website & webshop
Websites load faster, SEO is automatically checked, and you can link products to platforms like Google Merchant or TikTok. - Inventory & logistics
You can now "nest" packaging units and make them as deep as you want. Restocking is smarter, and the journaling of inventory changes now happens once a day. - HR & personnel
Overtime and leave are better organized, with automatic calculations and simpler management of contracts. - New apps
- AI
- Shares/participations (Equity)
- Sustainability (ESG)
In short: Odoo 19 is smarter, faster, and more user-friendly, with a lot of focus on AI, performance, and a better working environment.
Fast, easier & even more complete Accounting is a main goal for Odoo, which is why many new features were explained during the introduction of version 19 by Wynand Tastenhoye.

New in Odoo Accounting version 19
When will version 19 be available for you?
- Are you working with Odoo online - then you can already request a test conversion (only) now
- Are you working with Odoo.sh - then I expect that to be available by the end of the year (the version to be upgraded).
- Are you starting with Odoo - then you can already begin now!
But be careful: Odoo looks forward, hardly ever back - so spend time and attention on migrating to a new version including that to 19 (as soon as it is available) if you are currently working in a lower version!!
