Van de Zaag specializes in commercial vehicle interiors and fleet management, ensuring fleet owners are completely relieved of concerns. Van de Zaag helps them move forward and provides them with efficient tools and all the convenience on the road.
The following objectives have been achieved by switching from AMF (Microsign) to Odoo:
- Much better communication across all departments, as Odoo (chatter) makes collaboration easy and fun.
- Working more efficiently: Thanks to the fully cloud-based solution, work can be done via both PC and smartphone, location independent - ideal for salespeople and technicians on site.
- More insight and data retention: A complete history of setups (including photos) is available, as well as all communication.
- Time savings: due to the integrated solution (order, purchasing, invoice, accounting), double work has become unnecessary. The simplicity and ease of correction (without loss of insight) also results in significant time savings.
- Specific to quoting at van de Zaag: It is thought from an existing company vehicle, where the vehicle limits the possible setups. The connection between the type of car and the available options can be easily made and managed in Odoo. This makes ordering very user-friendly for both the sales department and the customer themselves. Although orders can be scheduled automatically, van de Zaag has chosen to have this done manually by the planning department.
In phase 2, a new website and webshop have been designed with our web design specialist within dooIT. The result can be seen at www.vandezaag.nl. This website also contains a web portal for customers, where they can log in to place orders and view the history of orders, deliveries, invoices, and tickets. Based on the website layout, templates have also been designed for use in the Odoo email marketing app. van de Zaag works with the custom version of Odoo in a sh environment, and she currently has 32 Odoo apps active across 3 companies (multi company).
In phase 3, we will take another look at the website. There will be a new look & feel, as a new logo has been developed for Van de Zaag. Additionally, we will migrate to the latest version of Odoo. The revamped website will go live in October 2025. Developed by our Odoo designers.
